Some pupils from 5th and 6th class have been doing an equine studies programme over the past number of weeks. This involved learning all about horses and how to treat and take care of them. This culminated in a visit to the Race Acadamey and National Stud in Kildare. At the Race Academy they got to see how young jockeys prepare for a career in horse racing. Afterwards we visited the National Stud where the children got to see and learn all about the horses that are currently there.
