About Us

Our Primary school is a co-Educational school consisting of 140 pupils and 17 teaching staff. Our Lady of Lourdes School, October, 2010. Our school provides a pleasant and caring environment for all its pupils. There is a great welcome for visitors and parents are encouraged to actively partake in school activities. We have a dedicated H.S.L.T. (Home School Liaison Teacher). Courses are run within the school for parents e.g: Help Your Child with Homework, Parenting courses and Cookery to name but a few. Our Curriculum subject areas include; English, Irish, Mathematics, S.E.S.E Religion, S.P.H.E, Visual Arts, P.E. as determined by the Department of Education and Skills.

The Literacy Shed

The Literacy Shed is the home of visual literacy.  At Literacy Shed we provide teachers with high quality films and animations that can be used in the primary classroom to enhance the teaching of reading and writing. All of the films on the site we think are suitable for primary aged children although some films may not be suitable for younger children.  We urge that teachers watch any films before showing them to children.
