5th Class took part in the RDS Primary Science Fair this year in Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. Only five schools from Limerick were chosen to take part in the event. Their experiment was to investigate whether there was a difference in brushing your teeth with a manual toothbrush versus an electric toothbrush. They found out that there was no obvious difference. They used disclosing tablets to check the difference between the two. They also built sand timers to time their brushing. They learned all about teeth and what is good for our teeth and what is not so good. They had a fantastic day at the exhibition where they got to see lots of experiments from schools from all over the country. They also got to go to some science shows which included Spectacular Water, Gross Slime and Marine Dimensions.
