On Friday the 18th of May the Green School Committee organised a walk to school day to promote a reduction of cars on our roads and to have a positive impact on pollution. It was also great to see the children getting extra exercise and enjoying walking in the good weather. There was rewards and raffle tickets for people who walked to school. One lucky child was the winner of the raffle and they received a brand new scooter. The Lord Mayor of Limerick visited the event and was very pleased with the efforts of the children. Well done to all involved.

We have attended a number of soccer tournaments lately with our school teams and the children have been performing extremely well. We attended an FAI tournament where two of our boys teams qualified for the next round. In the next round one of our boys teams won all of their matches and are taking part in the county final on the 26th of April. The girls have been doing well also and took part in an indoor tournament in University of Limerick and another tournament in Mary Immaculate College.
